Team away days – usually a time for team building and getting to know how pitiable people you work with are at the most random of tasks…but not for Risk Management. They’re all too talented to be average at anything.
Our away day was a chance for me to network with people from within my department, who I usually wouldn’t interact with on a day to day basis, and to build a sense of teamwork among us.
All in all a great day out of the office and the old cliché of team bonding was in full force. It felt like I’d been part of the department a lot longer than my four week stint would suggest.
The department has benefited hugely from this and built up the Lloyd’s values and capabilities, notably people and relationship management.
I’m lucky to be part of such a fun team, and ultimately getting to know all of them on a personal level has definitely helped with my day to day work with all of them.
